Benedict Preece will bring his Kent-based Caritas Chamber Choir to sing a varied concert of choral music from the Renaissance to present day.
Tickets £10 to include a glass of wine will be available at Chilham Post Office from the end of April or at the door on 27th May.

Speaker Andy McConnell, one of Britain’s leading authorities on glassware of all types and his books have covered the subject from ancient to modern. He was the first glass specialist recruited to BBC TV’s Antiques Roadshow for which he has now recorded 14 series. He lectures widely on glass and writes for journals as diverse as The times, Daily Telegraph and Country Life.

Champagne reception, dinner with wine and Speaker Andy McConnell, one of Britain’s leading authorities on glassware of all types and his books have covered the subject from ancient to modern. He was the first glass specialist recruited to BBC TV’s Antiques Roadshow for which he has now recorded 14 series. He lectures widely on glass and writes for journals as diverse as The times, Daily Telegraph and Country Life.

Carols by Candelight
December 17th – Caritas Chamber Choir presents “Carols by Candlelight in St Mary’s.
Benedict Preece will once again bring his acclaimed choir to St Mary’s for Carols by Candlelight at 3.30 p.m.
Some carols we all know, and some new to us will make a beautiful start to Christmas.
Punch and light refreshments will be served for a donation.
Tickets are £10 and are available at Chilham Post Office or on the door.
Join us for a lovely afternoon, and we guarantee to find you singing on the way home!
Let's Rock

Saturday December 9th, 1950’s Rock Around The Clock party at Chilham Village Hall
Chartham Lindy Hoppers are holding a 1950’s dance at the village hall 7pm to 10.30 p.m. Tickets £10 cash on the door,
They are generously donating all funds raised to the restoration and renovation of the historic St Mary’s church tower clock fund.
A great fun night, an opportunity to dress in 1950’s style and boogie the night away. There will be a taster Rock & Roll dance class too!
Light refreshments available by donation. Everyone welcome including children over 12 years of age.
Christmas tree festival
Once again, the church will be filled with beautifully decorated and lit Christmas Trees providing an amazing sparkling spectacle.
The theme is “The Joy of Christmas” and many local groups, the community and businesses will enter their tree for viewing. We anticipate 50 trees will be erected.
The church will open on Saturdays 11.00 to 17.00 and Sunday to Friday viewing will be from 13.00 to 17.00.
Refreshments will be served daily, there will also be musical entertainment.
On Sunday 10th at 6pm the lights of Chilham village tree in the Square will be turned on, followed by carols and refreshments in the church.
Come along, bring all the family, and join in the fun and the spectacle.
Funds raised will go to charities, Catching Lives and Pastos Verde.
